  • Weekend...

Today we went up to Uncle Keith's farm today. My Dad spent most of the day mowing the lawn with the riding mower and got filthy dirty. Emily and I drove Mom and I to the Ding to pick up some burgers for lunch. I looked calm...but on the inside I think I was hypervenilating. She's never driven before, so I made fun of her by yelling, "Land!" and pretending to kiss the ground when we got out of the van. Our uncle has made a lot of progress...new cabnents and flooring. We are babysitting for a little boy named Ezra and I'm about to go up stairs to watch my favorite show. Its all I do when I get home from work.

Tomorrow is Ashley's birthday and Monday is Lindsey's. Sounds like we are gonna try to kidnap her. Hehe.

  • The shifts were long in the heat, but we made a lot of money. I was at the same stand as Krista, Chase, Eric,Le Norris and Phillip. I think it was Chase who brought up that he thought I use to be a hardcore rock groupie. Lol. Yeah, right. They also picked on me for being through. I'm glad we stopped in Decatur first and saw Karen, PD and PK. On the way home, we had lunch with Lacey and Sarah at McAllisters and went shopping and to Starbucks with them and Brittney, Morgan and Logan. John boy brought Emily, Lacey, Sarah and I out to dinner for buffalo wings and we left cute notes all over the church since no one was there. It was so good to see everyone again. The only thing I would change would be to swap out the people at each stand, since I didn't get to see or talk to many people. At least I got to know a few of them better and got a ride in my dream car: a brand new Mustang convertible! It should come with a warning label that it may put people's hair in knots. My parents got to hang out with Bruce and Amber, who are now dating. I'm happy for them...Krista gave me a hard time and told LeNorris that I like him. Its not that I have a crush on him. He's a sweet guy, is hilarious and has a really big heart. I can see being good friends with him. We also learned that Daniel and Jessica are getting married!

Well...its off to Lifest...again! So glad I got to see David Crowder the other night! Today is Denver and the Mile High Orcestra and I want to get cds and t-shirts!

    More later,

    Heather:)

    Sunday Afternoon-

We went to Lifest this morning for worship with Chris Tomlin and Denver and the Mile High Orcestra. Does anyone know if Chris is single? Lol. I must admit...he's easy on the eyes..to old for me, so we'll leave it at that.

A girl that was on the bungie jump died when the harness broke and she fell almost a hundred feet. Liz was only fifteen...how terrible. I prayed for her last night and we all did today. I'm glad she's in a better place, even though her death doesn't make sense and she must have been really freaked out when she knew what was going to happen.

I worked for Jars of Clay on Saturday. I didn't get to meet them, but it was cool to hear them speak about Blood Water and Africa. Emily was at the NoonDaySun booth. It was there first time at Lifest since they are from Washington and do school assemblies. We tried to get people to come and see them by handing out free buttons, but the crowds didn't look very big. I guess they will catch on with time, though. Also, there was a comedian guy who balenced a HUGE latter on his face and rode a unicycle while holding a wooden stick with a spinning ball in his mouth and juggling. I got the new Switchfoot cd and a shirt and hope I can hang out with Lindsey tonight...

    Tuesday afternoon-

I saw a picture of Liz on the news and remember seeing her volunteering in a tent that I was in. We made eye contact and smiled at each other. Its crazy how you walk past people every day without acknowledging them, not because you don't care, but because you think you're to busy or don't imagine them having a life of their own. When I picture her, I want to cry. She had so much ahead of her that she won't be able to experience. I glad she's probably in heaven right now and like to think she was looking in on Lifest on Sunday morning. I don't know who she was, but she had an impact on my life...and many others by the sound of it.

I'd like to add a story about a day that could have been from hell, but ended up showing us that God was there and in control of our situation.

One Day in Moss Point, Mississippi:

*It rained so much that we had to close down our Fireworks stand several times to keep the product dry.

We weren't were the tornado was and got to have some interesting people come inside.

*Chase's car got stuck in the mud. I mean, really stuck.

Luckly, one of our customers pulled it out.

*Our stand got hit by a Mustang whose breaks went out, cutting off our power.

It came back on about a minute later.

*When it wasn't raining, we were all running around like chickens with our heads cut off.

    We made over $5,700.00.

*We got eaten alive by bugs and it was waaaay to hot outside.

The rain cooled the area down.

*Le Norris and Krista had a disagreement about what food to buy for dinner.

One of our costumers brought us ribs and we still had $40 to spend on chicken, chips and soda.

*A car broke down and pulled into the parking lot by the stand. Inside was a family that had three blown out tires on the way to the hospital with a little boy who had a temp of 108 degrees. We got to pray for him and give the mom and boy a ride. He ended up having a 24 hours infection and being able to go home the next day.

  • Sweet Home Alabama

Two more days until we can leave to go and help out with Fire Works in Mobile! I can't wait to see my favorite Master's!  If it were up to me, I'd have us move there instead, but I trust that God wants us...and me to go there for a reason and know we will be able to see them a lot more than we did this year. I'm so ready to blow this popsical stand of a retirement village with nothing to do.

I'm having a Lia Sophia party on August 1st. Very excited about getting a bunch of people together that I haven't seen in a while. If I had the people from Mississippi here, I could have filled the guest list in a matter of minutes, but it took long than I thought it would. So glad I get to get some nice things to wear. I have plenty of clothes, but I guess I'll have to get more since a lot of them don't fit me like I'd like them to. My mom thinks some of my shirts are to 70's because of there bell sleeves, but there in right now. Lol.

Things have been pretty dull around here. I try to rent the CSI Xbox game since I thought I had the right adapter to play Xbox on my Gamecube, but no success. Its been work, work and more work with the occasional painting and selling tickets for the Hiding Place. I wish I could see Urinetown, but chances are I'm going to be in Master's and won't get to. My sisters old friend Courtney started at the high school on Friday, so for the most part, the people I'm with are nice. We are behind, but I can't say I'm suprized. The high school is overwhelming and looks like it won't end. We have all the classrooms in the basement and up to the metals shop (the dirtyest room I've ever seen in my life) done, but they may not be like the principle would like them. Hopefully we don't have to suffer his rath any time soon.

Yesterday I helped out with a car wash fundraiser at Tractor Supply to raise money for people from my church to go with a group of kids from the Saharia desert in Africa to Washington to speak to important people about their countries issues. I only found out in the morning that I was going to be a part of it and I'm jealous that I don't get to go. I like being able to go and pet the horses that they had outside. They were really preety. After that, mom told me I had to go to the wedding of their old friends son. It was really cute and I got to see my uncle because his daughter from his first marriage was one of the bridesmaids.

Katie, Lindsey and I went and saw Pirates again on Saturday. Emily hasn't seen it yet, so I have a feeling I see it at least five times this summer. Its good, but not fantastic and I'm not excited since I know whats going to happen.  Meagan, Ashley, Emily and I are planning our birthday get together with them at a hotel in August. It stinks on ice that I'll be gone for Lindsey's graduation party, but what can you do?

I'm jamming to Rick Pino and Suzi Yaraei. Can't get much better as far as Christian worship music is concerned.
